A few members of the Brickbottom Artists Association coordinated with Remnant Brewery here in Somerville to allow us an opportunity to do some “live performance” of our art processes to help drum up some interest in our upcoming Open Studios event next weekend.
It was a lot of fun! Back in college, I used to set up painting in different outdoor locations around MIT and would inevitably get groups of tourists standing around behind me, watching. My roommates also used to like to take breaks and come watch me paint. And now the cats and dog collect around me when I’m at work…so I’m already used to an audience!
The beer was great and the food around Bow Market is also delicious (shoutout to Hot Box Pizza and Jaju Pierogi for having such tasty noms). Would recommend the experience, A+.
Anyway, just wanted to share some photos from the two nights, and also suggest you swing by for Open Studios on November 17 & 18, 2018. There will be 80+ artists showing their studios and art from 12-6pm both days, including yours truly. Oh, and a dog wearing a cute outfit:
